Sophie Turner & Joe Jonas’s Daughters Are Allegedly Setting Down Roots in the UK Amid Custody Battle
Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas’s messy custody battle has hit a major turn: it seems their daughters are moving to the UK with their mom.
After years of back and forth, it seems Turner is bringing his and Jonas’s daughters Willa and Delphine. In fact, family insiders told DailyMail that Turner is allegedly looking at schools for her daughters.
It’s thought that Turner will reside in her home in West London, as she told Harper’s Bazaar back in Oct 2024.
“I’m so happy to be back. It felt as if my life was on pause until I returned to England,” she said. “I just never really feel like myself when I’m not in London, with my friends and family. I was away for so long – six years – and it was when my friends were getting engaged, and when I got pregnant. I went for dinner with someone the other day, and she said, ‘I never got to touch your belly.’ We didn’t have those key experiences with each other.”
Jonas and Turner started dating in 2016 after he slid into her DMs. They got engaged in 2017, and later married in 2019. They welcomed two daughters named Willa, born in 2020, and Delphine, born in 2022.
They started divorce proceedings in Aug 2023. Turner sued Jonas for allegedly unlawfully keeping their daughters in America, citing parental child abduction laws. She did this because, around that time, Turner wanted to bring her kids to the UK, which was allegedly their plan (and alleged that he had refused to return the children’s passports). However, their daughters were on tour with Jonas while she was filming in the UK.
After the hullabaloo throughout 2023 and 2024, 2025 has been on the quieter side. Their divorce was finalized and both Turner and Jonas have moved on, but the custody battle is still going. Per Master’s Law Group, Stephen Cullen, Turner’s attorney, claimed that Jonas is seeking joint custody, but not much has been detailed since then.
But now, it seems the kiddos are going with their mom to England!
The Game of Thrones alum told The Sunday Times earlier this year about being a single mom.
“If I hadn’t been a mother, I don’t know if I would have been able to bring the same energy that I did into it,” she said about her role in Joan. “It’s such a struggle being a single mother. Joan doesn’t go about it in the best way … but it is amazing to see her really fighting for her daughter. It’s also really important for kids to see just how hard parents work for them.”
She also spoke about moms getting shamed. “There’s so much shame that comes with motherhood,” Turner said. “You go to work, you’re shamed. If you don’t go to work, you’re shamed.”
