‘Global Force’ Jennie Stands Tall in Celeb-Loved Amina Muaddi Platform at 2025 Billboard Women in Music Awards
Jennie Kim stood a bit taller while receiving her roses on Saturday night. The performer attended the Billboard Women in Music Awards where she was honored with the”Global Force Award” award.
For the big night, the Blackpink star wore a strapless Zuhair Murad dress. From the brand’s fall 2025 collection, the look featured a deep-cut neckline and was embellished with crystals.
On foot, Jennie wore the popular Amina Muaddi Yigit heel. The shoe is a towering platform style. The heel measures almost six inches. This is in part due to the thick two-inch platform. It covers all edges of the foot as is typical of a pump. It also includes a Mary Jane strap which is helpful for taller styles.
The shoe is often easily identified by its toe. The pointed toe not only narrows the toe to a point but the platform also narrows to the point as well. Satin composes the upper of the style which has a leather sole. Amina Muaddi is still selling the Yigit platform pump for $1,335 but some retailers have it on sale for as low as $678 in some sizes.
The shoe is a favorite of celebrities like Beyonce, Lady Gaga, Shakira and more including a number of “Real Housewives” stars. In fact, Gaga wore the shoes to the iHeartRadio Music Awards earlier this month. She paired it with a black minidress and tights. Beyonce wore them to the 2024 Grammy Awards but is a major fan: she’s worn platform heels from Muaddi whether classic or the cutout d’orsay variety, a number of times.
Since launching in 2018, Amina Muaddi has become a favorite of celebrities. This includes Kylie and Kendall Jenner, Kim Kardashian, Rihanna, Dua Lipa and the aforementioned women.
The 2025 Billboard Women In Music Awards was held on Saturday night in Inglewood, Calif. The event aims to celebrate notable achievements in the music world from extraordinary women. Notable honorees this year included Jennie, receiving the “Global Force Award,” Doechii being named “Woman of the Year” and Gracie Abrams being honored as “Songwriter of the Year.”
