We’re a homeless family-of-seven currently squished into a tiny hotel room – I have to cook in the bathroom, it’s chaos
A MOTHER has revealed that she is currently living in a hotel room with her family-of-seven.
After finding herself homeless, the mum-of-five, who has a newborn baby, is now squished into a one-bedroom hotel room with her family, who are known online as the ‘Resilient Jenkins’.
The family of seven, who are from the US, are now having to cook in the bathroom of their hotel, using a portable stove.
But social media users have been left shocked at the ‘chaos’ of the content creator’s life – and many slammed her for putting her children through ‘instability’.
Posting online, the influencer, who has 270,600 TikTok followers, said: “So it’s officially been a week homeless as a family of seven and so far, we’re navigating it pretty well, I’d like to say.
“We’ve just been keeping to our pretty normal routine and it is currently spring break and that’s definitely added some chaos to it.”
Despite this, the mother, who has been living in a hotel with her partner Drew and children for the past two weeks, recognised: “But it is what it is, I actually enjoy having my babies with me through this time because I just feel like the more we’re together, the more we can process everything, and we’re just honestly stronger together as a family.”
In the short clip, viewers saw mum unpack appliances and prepare a meal for her kids.
Moments later, Drew was seen washing up the family’s plastic plates in the hotel’s bathroom sink, which is just a stone’s throw away from the family’s bed.
As well as a double bed, the room has also been packed full with a crib and a bunk bed for the five children.
The mum, who does content creation for a living and has “ambitious goals”, has now found herself victim to a barrage of cruel abuse about her living situation, and was eager to clap back and silence the trolls.
She continued: “Regardless of what I say or what I put forward, you guys are gonna have something to judge about.
“It’s literally not your life, it’s ours, so it’s our choice.”
Social media users react
The TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @jenkinsresiliencecrew, has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has quickly gone viral and racked up 2.1 million views in just six days.

Using the sink water to cook is wild

One user questioned: “Did you just use HOTEL SINK WATER to cook??”
And a second penned: “Using the sink water to cook is wild.”
But despite the hate, one user wrote: “You got this, ignore the negative comments.”
At the same time, another chimed in: “Hope you get a home soon.”
