Acadia Parish voters said yes to district 2 sales tax renewal
ACADIA PARISH, La (KLFY) -- Votes of Acadia Parish said yes to the District 2 sales tax renewal.
The tax renewal passed the vote with 65% of saying yes.
By voting yes, the residents of Acadia Parish shall be authorized to continue to levy and collect a sales and use tax of 1% in accordance with Louisiana law, for a period of 15 years from April 1, 2027.
With the proceeds of the Tax be dedicated and used for the purpose of repairing, constructing, improving and maintaining Parish roads and bridges in the unincorporated areas of the Parish, including incidental drainage.
