Baby's corpse, busted casket found on grounds of West Virginia cemetery
SALT ROCK, W.V. (WOWK) - A baby’s body and a busted casket were found at the Baylous Cemetery in Salt Rock, West Virginia, Thursday evening, according to the Cabell County Sheriff’s Office.
A person called 911 just after 7:15 p.m. on Thursday, saying they found the body and the casket while decorating graves at the cemetery.
According to the sheriff’s office, the boy’s body was found on the ground and the casket was over a hillside. They said the boy is believed to be a few months old.
The original burial site is unknown, and the body was sent to the medical examiner’s office, according to the sheriff’s office.
