Two suspects arrested, one on the run after fatal Moses Lake drive-by shooting
PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Two were arrested and one man remains on the run in connection to a fatal drive-by shooting in Moses Lake, which killed a teenage boy and left four others critically injured.
According to the U.S. Marshals Service, they are offering up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest of 20-year-old Jose Beltran-Rodriguez, who is wanted in connection to the Mar. 21 shooting.
On Monday, police arrested a teen at a hospital in Richland for their alleged involvement in the shooting. The teen, who had been admitted to the medical center for a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the leg, was charged with first-degree murder.
Arrest warrants were then issued for both Beltran-Rodriguez and 18-year-old Matthew Valdez on Tuesday, charging them with first-degree murder, first-degree assault (five counts), drive-by shooting and felon in possession of a firearm.
Valdez was arrested early Friday morning at an apartment in Beaverton and is being held in jail pending extradition to Washington.
Officials say Beltran-Rodriguez is a suspected member of a gang involved in drug trafficking, violent assaults, robbery, homicide, money laundering and unlawful firearm possession.
Police say he should be considered armed and dangerous.
