Easter Bunny returns to Colonie Center, Crossgates
COLONIE, N.Y. (NEWS10) — The Easter Bunny has made its annual return to Colonie Center and Crossgates Mall. Families are invited to take a photo with the April holiday mascot.
The Easter Bunny made its first appearance of the season at Colonie Center on Saturday. The bunny began welcoming families at 11 a.m. in his decorated garden outside the lower level of Macy's.
"Spring at Colonie Center isn't complete without a visit from the Easter Bunny," said Colonie Center Marketing and Business Development Manager Adison Johnson.
No reservations are needed to visit Colonie Center's Easter Bunny. Small gifts will be given out to children following their visit.
The mall will also host a Sensitive Bunny event for children with sensory sensitivities on April 6 from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., before Colonie Center's normal operating hours. Well-behaved pets are also invited to pay the bunny a visit on April 2, 9 and 16 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. All pets must be leashed and with their owner at all times.
Additionally, Colonie Center will hold its annual Easter Egg Hunt in Center Court on April 12 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. On top of the classic egg search, kids of all ages will also be able to enjoy face painting, balloon artists, caricature artists, a photo booth and giveaways. No registration is required.
"Whether you're here for photos, pet night or our annual egg hunt, we're thrilled to provide a space where families can create unforgettable memories," Johnson said.
The Easter Bunny will be open to visitors at Colonie Center until April 19, Mondays through Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Those who spend $40 or more on photos with the bunny between March 29 and April 5 will receive a $15 gift card to Colonie Center from retailers like Sephora, Five Below, H&M and more.
The Easter Bunny also arrived to Crossgates Mall in Guilderland on March 8, stationed at Easter Bunny Land on the lower level across from APEX Entertainment. The bunny is open to visitors on Fridays and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 8 pm. and on Sundays from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Hours are updated weekly on the Crossgates Mall website.
A variety of photo packages from Capital Photo are available starting at $29.99. Every person that takes a photo with the Easter Bunny at Crossgates will also receive an APEX Entertainment 30-minute arcade play card, a 110 Grill complimentary kids meal card and a treat from It's Sugar, while supplies last.
