Firefighters from across Marin County gathered in Larkspur this week to practice rescue techniques.
The exercises took place at the building that used to be the Bed Bath and Beyond store at the Marin Country Mart. Using six artificial smoke machines, firefighters made their way through the darkened building to simulate the rescues of victims and other crew members.
About 100 firefighters participated each day of the three-day training. Participants included members of the Central Marin, Southern Marin, Ross Valley, Novato, San Rafael, Skywalker and county fire agencies.
