Austin Reaves listed as questionable against Grizzlies with right ankle sprain
After spraining his ankle against the Bulls, Austin Reaves is listed as questionable for the Lakers game against the Grizzlies.
On top of losing in dramatic and demoralizing fashion against the Bulls on Thursday, the Lakers may have been dealt another blow.
In the third quarter of the contest, Austin Reaves turned his ankle on a Chicago player’s foot. That came one night after he briefly went to the locker room against the Pacers on Wednesday to get his ankle re-taped.
Ahead of Saturday’s game, then, Reaves is listed on the Lakers injury report as questionable with the ankle sprain.

Reaves prided himself last season for playing in every game for the Lakers, including the In-Season Tournament. This season, though, multiple injuries have sidelined him for brief spurts.
A calf strain was the most recent injury that ruled him out for two games, but outside of that — and being rested against the Bucks — Reaves has played in 46 of the last 49 games for the Lakers. In many ways, in a season full of changes, he’s been one of the few mainstays.
On the flip side, Ja Morant has been upgraded to questionable for the Grizzlies. Morant hasn’t played since March 14 due to his own ankle injury.

Few things heal injuries more than seeing the Lakers among the upcoming games.
Obviously, there’s a lot going on with Memphis heading into this game. On Friday afternoon, the team parted ways with head coach Taylor Jenkins in a very surprising move.
It’s certainly shaping up to be a potentially fascinating match-up on Saturday.
