Glens Falls Brewfest returning for 15th year
The Glens Falls Brewfest will return to the Cool Insuring Arena on May 3 for the 15th year. The gathering will invite craft beer enthusiasts to enjoy tastes of brews from around the North Country and Capital Region, all for a good cause, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Schenectady pizza shop closing doors at end of March
A Schenectady pizza place is closing its doors after five years in the community. Annabel’s Pizza Co., located on State Street, announced Monday that the restaurant’s last day would be March 31.
Off the Beaten Path: Seoul Korean BBQ Restaurant
Seoul Korean BBQ Restaurant recently opened its doors. It is owned by MiJung Kim. For Kim, it’s an opportunity to serve up a taste of home.
New brewery opens in Troy
Downtown Troy has welcome a new brewery and bar to the community. Ilium Brewing Company held its grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony on Friday, March 28 at 410 Fulton Street.
What Capital Region breweries won awards at the NYS Craft Beer Competition?
The winners of the ninth annual New York State Craft Beer Competition were announced March 21 at the Albany Capital Center. Over 1,300 beers were entered into the competition and 99 medals were presented with some Capital Region breweries taking home the gold, silver or bronze.
Lobster roll brand launches Capital Region food truck
Cousins Maine Lobster has launched a new food truck in the Capital Region. The brand is known for its wild-caught Maine lobster rolls.
Long lines form for Jumpin’ Jack’s opening day
Lines of people flocked to Jumpin’ Jack’s, a staple drive-in burger joint in Scotia, for opening day on Thursday. People started lining up over an hour before they opened at 11 a.m.
Participating lineup for Amsterdam WingFest
The sixth annual Amsterdam WingFest is returning April 19. From 1 p.m. through 6 p.m., attendees will be able to pay $1 for wing samples at each participating restaurant location.
