Albany Co. seeks designs for 'I Voted' sticker contest
ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- For the third year, the Albany County Legislature is looking for local students to design a sticker for its "I Voted" sticker contest. Submissions are due by midnight on July 11.
Officials are searching for a K-12 student to create an original and nonpartisan "I Voted" 2-inch diameter circular sticker. The winning design will be given out at polling sites in Albany County during the general election on November 4.
Designs can be made using crayon, pencil, ink, or digital mediums. Submissions must include the student's name, age, grade, school or homeschool, address, phone number, email, and a signature from a parent or guardian if the student is under 18.
Digital submissions can be made by emailing the design and student's information to AlbanyCountyIVoted@albanycountyny.gov. Physical submissions can be dropped off at specific local schools or the Harold L. Joyce Albany County Office on State Street in Albany.
A panel of seven judges will select the finalists by July 31, and then the public can vote for the winner from August 1 through 29. Submission forms can be found on the county's website.
