Tottenham fans react as Fabio Paratici edges closer to a Spurs return
Tottenham Hotspur fans have been buzzing over reports that former sporting director Fabio Paratici is edging closer to a return, despite previous links to AC Milan.
Sections of the Tottenham Hotspur fanbase have been calling for the return of Fabio Paratici, the ex-sporting director of Spurs, who has been suspended following his alleged involvement in Juventus’ capital gains scandal.
It was reported a few days ago that the Italian was nearing a return to football, though AC Milan were rumoured to be Paratici’s preferred destination, despite interest from Spurs.
However, fresh reports now suggest that Paratici is closing in on a return to Spurs in the Premier League after Milan found it extremely difficult to convince him otherwise.
Tottenham Hotspur fans react to Fabio Paratici’s potential return
Following these latest reports, Tottenham fans have had their say, and plenty are delighted by the prospect of Paratici coming back.
One fan simply stated: “Put him in charge of absolutely everything.”
Another agreed with that sentiment: “All hope is on him because he will bring in a tactically astute head coach. If he was not banned, Ange wouldn’t be at Spurs right now.”
One supporter added: “Can’t wait for the Don to come back and back Big Ange. That will be a culture shock for X.”
Another declared that Spurs should completely revamp their hierarchy once more: “Get the Don back and boot Lange and Munn out the door.”
Unfortunately, not everyone is as excited by the prospect: “Munn. Lange. Paratici. All there while Daniel will no doubt just want to take control of everything still because he’s the ‘master negotiator.'”
One simply stated: “Great news.”
What Paratici’s return could mean for Spurs summer plans
The same report also revealed what Paratici’s first order of business would be should he rejoin the North London club.
Spurs are said to be planning a significant summer transfer window, and Paratici could play a key role in shaping the squad.
In fact, the Italian has reportedly already been involved in discussions with Spurs’ recruitment team over potential midfield targets.
It is claimed that he has recommended Torino’s Samuele Ricci and Atalanta’s Ederson to the Lilywhites ahead of the transfer window, further highlighting his influence despite not officially being back in the role yet.
