Patriots Fans Will Love Stefon Diggs’ Instagram Post After Joining New England
It looks like new Patriots receiver Stefon Diggs is excited to start working with Mike Vrabel.
Diggs reportedly is set to join New England on a three-year, $69 million contract with $26 million guaranteed. The four-time Pro Bowl selection has the opportunity to be somewhat of a savior in Foxboro, Mass., where the Patriots went years without rostering a bonafide No. 1 wide receiver.
New England as of Thursday hadn’t officially announced the addition of Diggs, but a press conference scheduled for Friday afternoon is expected to serve as his formal introduction to the franchise. Diggs also all but confirmed his latest NFL chapter with an Instagram story post.
Vrabel is a big fan of Diggs, who the new Patriots head coach described as “highly competitive” and “confident.” The linebacker-turned-coach also views Diggs as a major source of support for quarterback Drake Maye, who thrived as a rookie despite a weak cast around him.
However, in wake of Diggs’ ACL tear last October, it remains to be seen when the accomplished wideout will be able to catch passes from Maye in a game setting.
