A dad-of-two who died in a fatal crash on the M40 has been named following the collision, which killed two men.
Jan Szeder, 34, from Evesham, died in a collision on the M40 near Oxford on Monday evening.
Part of the motorway was shut for almost 24 hours during an investigation into the fatal crash.
A 20-year-old man from Wisbech, who has not been named, also died.
Now, the family of Mr Szeder have paid tribute to their loved one.
They said: ‘We are sad to announce the death of Jan Szeder on Monday 24 March as a result of a road traffic incident in Oxfordshire.
‘As a family we will miss him greatly and he leaves two children who he was devoted to and we wish to thank everyone for their kind words and sympathy at this difficult time.”
‘We would appreciate to be left alone to grieve in peace at this difficult time.’
The incident involved a grey BMW 340i on the southbound carriageway between junctions 9 and 8A when it crashed into the northbound lanes.
The BMW is believed to have been stolen from the Oxfordshire area, the police said.
Two men, who were taken to the hospital with serious injuries, have been arrested following the crash.
Thames Valley Police said: ‘A 22-year-old man from Southam, Warwickshire and a 19-year-old man from Evesham, Worcestershire have been arrested each on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and burglary. They both remain in custody.’
Richard Thorpe, a lead investigator, offered his ‘deepest condolences to the families of the men who sadly died in the collision.’
