Stunning amount Luke Littler made per minute of Newcastle win with darts star on more than Premier League’s top earners
LUKE LITTLER cruised his way to yet another nightly Premier League win on Thursday night, as he saw off the competition to strengthen his position on top of the table in Newcastle.
Littler, 18, banked £10,000 for the nightly win after dispatching of Stephen Bunting, Rob Cross and Luke Humphries with ease.
In fact, The Nuke was so dominant that not a single one of his matches lasted over 15 minutes.
His opening clash saw him whitewash Bunting 6-0 in just 10 minutes, putting up a 109.98 average and hitting five 180s against the The Bullet.
While his semi-final clash was a 6-3 victory over Rob Cross that took him 15 minutes to complete – this time averaging 97.51.
And his final against world no.1 Humphries was a breeze too, taking just 11 minutes for a 6-1 victory and earning his fourth nightly win of the season.

- Runner-up: £125,000
- Semi-finalists: £85,000
- 5th Place: £75,000
- 6th Place: £70,000
- 7th Place: £65,000
- 8th Place: £60,000
- Winners bonus per tournament: £10,000 (x16)
In total, Littler was playing darts for just 36 MINUTES.
Meaning he effectively earned a whopping £277.78 PER MINUTE after bagging the £10k nightly prize.
That figure would have Littler earning around £2.8MILLION PER WEEK, if he could always be playing – a sum that works out at over FIVE TIMES the weekly wage of the Premier League’s highest earner Erling Haaland (£500k-per-week).
Of course, Haaland doesn’t earn his money based on the amount of minutes he plays, and if he did then the assumption of 90 minutes of football per week would mean he would have the earning potential of a ridiculous £56MILLION PER WEEK.
Littler also reached his 100th maximum of the Premier League this season on the night, banking his century of 180s in his match with Cross.
It’s taken Littler just eight weeks to achieve the incredible feat, and he did it while no other player in the field had even taken their tally to 50, with Luke Humphries the closest on 45 at the time.

Littler is now eight points clear on top of the Premier League table and feeling confident sitting top of the pile.
He said to Sky Sports: “It’s another week, more points on the board and another nightly win.
“Now I’m sitting even more comfortably at the top and there are loads of points ahead. I’m settled even more coming into the next weeks.”
And the teen sensation did all that to the backdrop of boos from the Newcastle crowd.
Manchester United fan Littler was jeered by the local Geordies, teasing him for his football loyalties.
While Newcastle United stars Dan Burn, Kieran Trippier, Harvey Barnes and Matt Targett were all in attendance to watch the PDC World Champion in action.
