Burger, hot dog chain to open first Ohio locations in Columbus area
COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) – A national burger and hot dog chain has plans to expand to Ohio with multiple eateries in the Columbus area.
Dog Haus, a casual restaurant chain known for its hot dogs, sausages and burgers, has signed a franchise deal that will bring four eateries to the Columbus area. Although the brand could not yet share exact locations, the first storefront is expected to open by the end of the year.
“Columbus is a thriving city with a diverse and exciting food culture,” said Cherokee Rhoda, the owner of the Columbus franchise locations. “I’m confident that Dog Haus will resonate with locals, from busy professionals to college students looking for high-quality, flavorful dining options.”
Cherokee Rhoda will run the Columbus locations with his wife, Michelle Rhoda. He has business experience as the founder and CEO of Brooks & Truitt Specialty Group and AirTek Global.
Founded in 2010, California-based Dog Haus serves burgers, sausages, hotdogs and chicken sandwiches on King’s Hawaiian Rolls. The eatery also serves breakfast burritos, sides such as chili cheese tater tots, beer, cocktails and ice cream.
The restaurant features a variety of toppings on its hotdogs and sandwiches, including crispy onions, cheese, avocado and pickled jalapenos. The chain offers a variety of vegetarian options, including bratwursts, burgers, chicken sandwiches and breakfast burritos made with Impossible products.
Dog Haus has over 50 locations throughout 12 states; the majority are franchise-owned.
