Tottenham could sign Fikayo Tomori in straight swap deal this summer
After missing out on Fikayo Tomori during the January window, Tottenham Hotspur may be handed a chance to sign the England international in a straight swap deal as AC Milan are big fans of one Spurs man.
Tottenham Hotspur bolstered their backline with the signing of Kevin Danso in January, but they also reportedly failed with moves for a couple of high-profile names.
It was widely reported at the time that Spurs made a move for Fikayo Tomori, but the AC Milan man turned down the chance to join the Lilywhites.
Tomori subsequently admitted that he never considered joining Spurs or departing the San Siro at all despite the fact he has struggled for game time for much of the season.
Tottenham could agree straight swap deal for Fikayo Tomori
Calciomercato.it have claimed that Spurs may be offered a chance to sign the former Chelsea man in the summer as Rossoneri are big fans of one Tottenham defender.
The report explains that the Serie A giants had previously sounded out Radu Dragusin regarding a switch to the San Siro and could make another attempt to sign the Romanian in the summer.
It is suggested that the two clubs could thus agree on a swap deal, with the outlet explaining that Tomori will ‘definitely be leaving’ Milan in the summer despite turning down a chance to do so in January.
Valuations of Fikayo Tomori and Radu Dragusin revealed
CalicoMercato.it say that one of the reasons why such a swap deal is on the cards is because both Tomori and Dragusin are valued at a similar price range.
It is said that the Englishman and the Romanian will be allowed to leave their respective clubs for around €30m (£25m), thus raising the possibility of a straight swap deal rather than a part-exchange agreement.
The publication adds that while no talks have been held between the two clubs, Milan could soon make contact over a swap deal.
