Fabio Paratici could haunt Tottenham by trying to poach midfield star
Two Serie A clubs are plotting a move for a Tottenham Hotspur star and one of them could use the help of Fabio Paratici to push through the deal.
Not many players across the Tottenham squad have seen their stocks rise this season, with the Lilywhites falling well short of expectations so far.
However, one of the few who undoubtedly has is Dejan Kulusveski, who was in a league of his own during the first half of the season, impressing in a number of different roles for Ange Postecoglou’s side.
A report from Italy has now suggested that two Serie A clubs are planning to push ahead with a move for the Swede despite Tottenham’s insistence that he is not for sale.
AC Milan could use Fabio Paratici to sign Dejan Kulusevski
Calciomercato have now claimed that AC Milan are big fans of the 24-year-old and tried to sign the player during the January window.
However, Tottenham Hotspur rejected all approaches for Kulusevski and made it clear that they see him as one of the most important players. Now, the Rossoneri could return again in the summer, and they have a new plan up their sleeve.
Tottenham’s former managing director, Fabio Paratici, is now thought to be the favourite to join as Milan’s sporting director, and the Italian could look to take Kulusevski with him to the club.
Napoli are also big fans of the Spurs winger and are looking to reunite him with Antonio Conte at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium.
Tottenham and Kulusveski’s transfer stances revealed
The outlet claims that Spurs could be in danger of losing Kulusevski if they do not achieve European qualification for next season.
Such a scenario could turn the former Juventus man’s head if the likes of Milan or Napoli come calling, but it would take a big offer for Tottenham to consider selling the attacker.
The outlet adds that Ange Postecoglou’s men would not even open negotiations for the Sweden international for any offer less than €50m (£41.8m).
