A BELOVED Channel 5 show is making a comeback to screens this week amid a schedule shake-up.
The Yorkshire Vet has become a staple of the Channel 5 schedule and fans will be left over the moon to learn that it is back.
The show first launched in 2015 and has since aired a whopping 18 series to date.
Based in North Yorkshire, it follows vets Peter Wright and Julian Norton dealing with a variety of medical demands for pets, farm animals and wild creatures alike.
New episodes of the programme will kick off this Thursday at 8pm on the network.
In a schedule shake-up, it marks a move to a new day for the programme.
Previously, episode have first been screened on Tuesdays but this will no longer be the case.
Teasing what’s to come on the brand new series, the show’s official social media account revealed: “Spring is in the air, and episode one begins with lambing drama, as Peter tries to help a charismatic young farmer called Charlotte.
“She suddenly inherited her dad’s farm up on the moors, and Peter is immediately impressed by her.
“So he knows that if she’s been struggling to deliver the babies, saving them won’t be easy – even for him.”
The new series comes after A-list actress Judi Dench was tapped up to be a very special guest star in the show’s Xmas special – A Donkey for Christmas.
The show worked alongside The Flicka Foundation Donkey Sanctuary in Cornwall of which Judi is a patron.
It resulted in Judi appearing in a number of scenes for the programme as she spoke about her passion for donkeys.
