An early morning fire in Colonie has killed two people. Also, Zion Delancy, the eight-year-old boy who was killed in a Schenectady hit-and-run was laid to rest as the alleged driver appeared in court. These stories, and more, are in your five things to know this Wednesday, March 26.
1. Fatal fire in Colonie remains under investigation
Two people have died in a structure fire early Wednesday morning, Village of Colonie Fire Chief Jeff Kayser confirmed to NEWS10. According to the fire department, the fire broke out at 39 Tanglewood Road.
2. Welcoming Alyssa Caroprese to the NEWS10 weather team

3. Displaced fire victims share story one day later
After Monday afternoon’s fire at the Latham Village Apartments, NEWS10 met up with some of the displaced tenants from the building that was heavily damaged in the blaze one day later.
4. Former teacher arrested on weapons charges posts bail
The former Guilderland middle school teacher, who was arrested on weapons possession charges, has posted bail. His next court date is believed to be on April 9.
5. 8 year old laid to rest, hit and run suspect appears in court
The case against a man accused in a deadly hit-and-run crash in Schenectady is now in county court. It happened on the same day the 8-year-old boy who was killed in that crash was laid to rest.
