Tottenham star is even more two-footed than Heung-min Son, says Micky Van de Ven
Micky van de Ven has named the most two footed player at Tottenham Hotspur and it is not club captain Heung-min Son.
Regardless of Tottenham Hotspur’s league position and form this season, the Lilywhites still boast an abundance of talent within their squad.
Among those with an incredible level of skill and technical ability is Heung-min Son. The South Korean forward is an elite finisher with an impressive knack for striking the ball cleanly with both feet.
So far in his Premier League career, Son has netted 127 goals—74 with his right foot and 49 with his left.
This season, he has already hit double figures for goals and assists, scoring 11 and assisting 11 in forty appearances.
Micky Van de Ven picks Archie Gray as Tottenham’s most two-footed player
Despite Son’s outstanding record, Micky van de Ven opted for another teammate when asked to name the Tottenham player with a five-star weak foot.
The Dutch defender chose Archie Gray, Tottenham’s £30m summer signing, as the most two-footed player in the squad.
Gray has already shown his versatility by playing across multiple positions under Ange Postecoglou and has impressed with his ability to use both feet seamlessly.
Position | Appearances |
---|---|
Centre-Back | 19 |
Right-Back | 7 |
Left-Back | 5 |
Defensive Midfield | 3 |
Speaking to SpursOfficial, Van de Ven explained his choice: “I’ll go for Archie (Gray). If you see every time he also plays in different positions, he does everything with his left foot without a doubt, so I would say he is both-footed and has a five-star weak foot.”
Others still back Son as Spurs’ most two-footed player
While Van de Ven went for Gray, Mikey Moore and Destiny Udogie both picked Son as the player with the best weak foot at Tottenham, with Moore in particular full of praise for the South Korean’s technique.
“I have to go for him again, Sonny,” Moore said. “His left foot is unbelievable, it’s like his right, so it’s definitely him.”
