'Terrible mistake': Sheriff threatens 'fat guys in mom's pajamas' mulling Tesla attacks
An Ohio sheriff took to the department's official Facebook page to deliver a stern warning Tuesday to "fat guys" wearing "mom's pajamas" who dare think of vandalizing Teslas in his county.
Richard Jones, sheriff of Butler, County, Ohio, livestreamed himself standing next to a green Tesla Cybertruck and its owner, where he attempted to ward off any would-be criminals thinking of joining in on nationwide attacks on the vehicles.
Tesla vehicles, dealerships, and facilities have been the target of numerous attacks since President Donald Trump's inauguration and subsequent creation of the Department of Government Efficiency, headed by Tesla CEO Elon Musk. Authorities have said these attacks have involved arson, gunfire, vandalism, and the use of incendiary devices such as Molotov cocktails.

That includes an incident this week in which multiple incendiary devices were found at a Tesla showroom in Austin, Texas.
Jones, standing in front of a Cybertruck next to a small, blue sign labeled "Elon Musk Lane," declared it a "great day to live in America and a great day to live in Butler County."
"You come to Butler County and destroy anybody's vehicle, I don't care whose it is — if you're a fat guy living in mom's basement, wearing your mom's pajamas, and you think it's ok to throw some sneakers on and come and scratch these trucks in Butler County, you've made a terrible, terrible mistake."
"We take that serious," said Jones.
The sheriff touted the American-made truck as the "quietest truck, vehicle" — and said that while he doesn't own any stock in the company, he should.
"I will say I could," he said. "I wish I could buy some stock."
Jones then returned to his dress-down of would be vandals, declaring, "shame on you" to those who vandalize dealerships.
"I'm not afraid of you. He's not afraid of you," said Jones, pointing to the owner of the Truck.
Later in the stream, Jones pointed to the little "Elon Musk Lane" sign next to the tire and said he might use it for inspiration.
"I think I'm going to name one of the lanes pulling in here to the sheriff's office after this hero that makes vehicles here in the United States for Americans," he said.
He added: "Shame on these crazy folks, these fat people who live in their mom's basement and wear their mom's pajamas. And they think they're real brave 'til they come to jail."
