Kylie Kelce Reveals the Distinctive Way Being ‘Hangry’ Hits Differently When You’re Pregnant
Kylie Kelce is nearing the end of her pregnancy with her fourth child, but if you ask her how far along she is, be prepared to wait. The podcast host admitted on a recent episode of her Wave Original podcast, Not Gonna Lie With Kylie Kelce, that she has to check an app to find out what week she’s in.
“It’s been that way the entire pregnancy,” she said. Because you know how you loosen the reins with Baby No. 2? Well, now Kylie Kelce and husband Jason Kelce are preparing to welcome their fourth daughter, and she apparently doesn’t have that same tracking instinct that she had with daughters Wyatt, 5, Elliotte, 3, and Bennett, 2.
“I’m just winging it,” Kylie said. “She’s gonna come out when she comes out.”
And though the proud Philadelphia Eagles fan might not know how far along she is, she does know that she feels the same way she did with her other girls: Out of breath, frustrated, and hangry.
“For a little while, [this baby’s] butt was so high up in my stomach that I would sit down with a plate of food, take four bites, and then not be able to take a fifth bite,” she said, getting understandably angry as she delivered a straight-to-camera monologue about the infuriating experience of trying to eat while pregnant.
“Coming from a hungry pregnant woman, that’s frustrating,” she said. “That actually pissed me off. I would get actively angry — ‘hangry,’ if you will — because I would have to then put my food in the fridge and then come back later.”
Then the mom of three would try again, and again, and again, in four-bite increments. As if being pregnant wasn’t hard enough … as if eating for two wasn’t challenging enough … as if navigating pregnancy cravings wasn’t wild enough … the very distinct case of pregnancy “hanger” can set in. It’s not just regular “hanger” that can be easily satiated. It’s “hanger” that stretches over long periods of time because as much as you want to eat, it’s too uncomfortable to do so because of the baby’s positioning. And who knows if your body will even let you keep that food down.
“Absolutely infuriating,” Kylie concluded.
Followers could relate, with one fan commenting that she was 38 weeks pregnant at Thanksgiving and her baby hadn’t dripped yet. “[That] was the most angry I think I’ve ever been ????,” she wrote.
“I wish this had been around when I was pregnant,” another said. “I’ve never felt so seen (after the fact) ????”
From banana peppers to buttered Pop-Tarts, these pregnant celebrities are sharing their craziest cravings.
