Comedian Nikki Glaser made a late night appearance on Monday. The recent host of the Golden Globes went on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” and while there, the rising star shared her thoughts on the uptick in usage of Ozempic as a weight loss drug and much more.
“I love it,” she told Fallon. “I’m like do it! Do it! I have no judgement. If you want to do Ozempic: hell yeah, girl. I want people to feel more comfortable talking about doing it because I feel like there’s this shame, and the shame is only from thin people who want you to stay fat. That’s really where the shame is coming from. They’re so mad your’e getting thin now because that’s all they have.”
While sitting on Fallon’s couch, Glaser was wearing a liquid metal silver Balmain minidress. The look was draped and included strong shoulders. She was styled by the duo Dani Charlton and Emma Rubenstein.
For shoes, Glaser chose to match: She wore a pair of silver, metallic pumps from Schutz. In particular, she chose the company’s Alicia style. The silhouette is a high cut pump, which provides quite a bit of coverage. It includes a pointed toe and the vamp is also pointed. The collar of the shoe rises higher than most pumps, completely covering the toes and most of the foot. There’s also a stiletto heel measuring more than 3.5 inches.
Made of leather, the shoe has a glossy finish. Schutz is still selling the Alicia pump for $103.
Pumps are a staple heel in a woman’s wardrobe. Most women’s footwear companies make some version of a pump. Notable iterations include Christian Louboutin and his Kate and associated So Kate pump, which Glaser is a fan of. The Jimmy Choo Love pump as well as Manolo Blahnik BB pump are also popular. Pumps can be rendered in a variety of materials including leather, suede, wool and various skins.
They can be monochromatic or treated with prints. Brands also tinker with the silhouettes, making the shoes increasingly sharper, or sometimes cutting the shoe’s silhouette to reveal more of the foot. The classic stiletto pump is characterized as covering all sides of the foot with a thin heel.
