While we love the Augustinus Bader The Rich Cream, we do love the price. Depending on the size, you can spend anywhere from $90 to $300 on the celeb-loved cream, and in this economy? That doesn’t bode well for a lot of us. So after some digging, we discovered something that may be an affordable lookalike to the Rich Cream.
Back in 2025, beauty writer Lucy Smith realized an under-$20 cream had a lot of similar ingredients to the Rich Cream, so she put them to the test for The Independent, and the lookalike boasted even better plumper results.
The Naturium Multi-Peptide Moisturizer is a softening and nourishing moisturizer that can work with all skin types. Not only is it gentle and powerful, but, per the brand, 100 percent of subjects saw their fine lines and wrinkles were more diminished after eight weeks.
Along with leaving shoppers’ skin supple and moisturized, it contains a sought-after ingredient known as encapsulated ethylated vitamin C to help brighten skin tones as well. And along with the vitamin C, it contains glycerin, squalane, fatty acids, amino acids, peptides, vitamin E, hyaluronic acid, and niacinamide; talk about getting all in one!
“Naturium Multi-Peptide Moisturizer: Hydrating, Smoothing, and Perfect for a Youthful Glow,” one shopper said. “After a few weeks of use, I noticed that my skin felt more plump and smooth, with a visible improvement in texture. Naturium has done a great job balancing active ingredients with gentle hydration, making this suitable even for sensitive skin types. For anyone looking to add a reliable, effective moisturizer to their routine, the Naturium Multi-Peptide Moisturizer delivers impressive results in both hydration and skin-smoothing, living up to its claims.”
Another shopper added, “Love using it during the day time and under my makeup. Im 46 and trying my best to take care of my skin, at least now. I Bought 5 products and absolutely love every one of them. My skin is so soft and supple.”
A third shopper added, “This peptide moisturizer is just the best! It’s light weight, non-greasy, and doesn’t pill (I’m looking at you, La-Roche Posay). It’s incredibly hydrating and gives my skin such a nourished glow. It works incredibly well to plump my skin, I use this morning and night. There’s no scent (thank goodness) so it’s sensitive-skin friendly! I will always have this product in my drawers.”
