Happy Birthday, Sarah Jessica Parker: A Look at Some of Her Most Stylish Shoe Moments

It’s Sarah Jessica Parker‘s 60th birthday today, and the actress-turned-shoe designer continues to influence us with her style.

Best known for playing Carrie Bradshaw in “Sex and the City” and the reboot, “And Just Like That,” which is returning for its third season in 2025 — she often emulates the same glamorous New York look in real life that is displayed on the show. From movie premieres to date nights with her husband Matthew Broderick to events wearing her SJP Collection shoe line, the actress is always stepping out in chic outfits.

To honor the birthday girl, take a look back at some of her most beautiful shoe styles through the years.

The actress attended the Closing Night Red Carpet at the Red Sea International Film Festival 2024 on December 12, 2024 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. She opted for a classic shoe for the event, wearing Gianvito Rossi’s popular Portofino sandal in a rich gold hue.

Parker understands, more than a lot of people, that shoes are what make or break an outfit. She made this gown even more exciting, rocking thigh-high plaid Christian Louboutin boots at the 2013 Met Gala, to go along perfectly with the night’s “Punk: Chaos to Couture” theme.

Parker arrived at the 2024 Met Gala wearing a pair of blush pumps that were brought to life thanks to bedazzled sheer tights that were decorated with dainty flower designs and jewels all the way up the front of her leg.

For the premiere of “And Just Like That” on Dec. 8, 2021, SJP opted for a stunning blue strapless, sequin-embellished dress featuring pink tulle by Oscar de la Renta. On her feet, she wore bright pink satin pumps.

In April 2021, the mother of three hit the pavement in the Big Apple in a chic street style look complete with sparkling peep-toe ankle strap pumps. The style dressed up her casual outfit consisting of a camel-colored coat worn over a brown top and jeans.

In November 2018, Parker made an appearance on “Live With Kelly and Ryan” in New York while wearing the most unbelievable heels. These sparkly pointed-toe shoes came in an ombre blue color and featured a strap across the top of the foot.

For the 2018 New York City Ballet’s Fall Fashion Gala in September, SJP chose to match her red princess-style gown with color-coordinated embellished and pointed-toe pumps. She opted for Jimmy Choo’s Romy 100 pump, which is covered in red Swarovski crystals.

In May 2015, SJP showed off why she is such a big name in fashion. She attended the Met Gala alongside Andy Cohen in a stunning gown and headpiece, pairing the ensemble with an equally beautiful pair of sheer booties with a glittering net overlay. She was wearing custom SJP Collection shoes to complement her H&M-designed dress and the Philip Treacy headpiece, which kept up with the “China: Through the Looking Glass” theme of the night. 

In 2009, alongside Hugh Grant, Parker wore an eccentric pair of platform shoes at the London premiere of “Did You Hear About the Morgans?” The tall heels were Charlotte Olympia platform shoes and featured dual-tone pink and purple with a mix of textures and materials.
