Albany pair accused of drug, weapon possession plead not guilty
ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- An Albany man and woman pleaded not guilty to drug and weapon possession charges in Albany County Court on Monday. The District Attorney's office said that Nateisha Watson, 41, and Parrish Butler, 32, face a possible sentence of 15 years in prison if convicted.
Both were charged and arraigned on charges of second-degree criminal possession of a weapon and third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Butler was also charged with four counts of third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance.
On February 26, Watson and Butler were arrested after the Albany Police Department's Community Response Unit raided an Old South Pearl Street home as part of a narcotics investigation. During their search, law enforcement allegedly found a loaded gun, a loaded semi-automatic pistol, cocaine, and drug paraphernalia for distribution.
Butler was remanded to Albany County Jail without bail while Watson posted bail after it was set at $25,000 cash, $25,000 insured bond, or $50,000 partially secured surety bond.
