CBB star defends Love Island’s Whitney as she’s forced to QUIT social media over Inside 2 backlash
A CELEBRITY Big Brother star has jumped to Whitney Adebayo’s defence after she was cruelly trolled during her time on Netflix show Inside 2.
The Love Island star was forced to quit social media after receiving a barrage of shocking racist messages and death threats after the reality show aired.
Whitney appeared on the Sidemen’s Netflix show alongside the likes of TikTok star Millie Jo McLoughlin, podcaster Mandi Vakili and rapper DDG.
Whitney, who was a runner up on Love Island alongside Lochan Nowacki, was forced to quit social media after a clip surfaced online.
The video which went viral on TikTok saw her laughing at her co-star Patrice Evra at the show’s reunion.
French former pro footballer Patrice was heard responding to some questions asked by an interviewer.
But midway through, Whitney burst out laughing.
The host asked: “Why you guys laughing?” to which Patrice responded: “Every time I laugh, even when I’m serious, they’re laughing, especially Whitney.”
Much to the shock of her co-stars, Whitney said: “Cause his English is amazing.”
Patrice looked shocked and let out an: “Oh,” and her co-stars watched on in disbelief.
Many fans had a lot to say after the incident, branding Whitney ‘disrespectful’.
In response, she shared five different screenshots from viewers of Inside who had chosen to send her horrific messages, including many filled with racial slurs.
The Sun has chosen not to repeat any of the horrific messages.
The TV personality went onto address the racism in a lengthy post.
Now, Celebrity Big Brother star Zeze Millz has taken to X (formerly Twitter) to defend Whitney.
In one tweet, she penned: “The same behaviour you’ll get ridiculed for others won’t. We see it time and time again. Death threats? Racist slurs? For whatttt?
“Also very interesting how only Whitney seems to getting called names? Wonder why that is? Anyway. I always say this… Black women when you go on these reality shows understand what could come with it. You won’t get grace.” she added.
TV personality Zeze suffered her own backlash on CBB last year after she clashed with Love Island’s Ekin-Su.
Following her stint on the show, Zeze was branded “nasty and judgmental” for her comments towards the All stars contestant.
Zeze called Love Island a “free holiday” to which Ekin-Su replied: “Yeah well it wasn’t really for me.
“It’s a reality show filmed 24/7 honey you only see 40 minutes of it.”
It prompted Zeze to reply: “That’s what I said, maybe we don’t see all of it.”
Ekin-Su agreed: “Yeah, you didn’t” Zeze has the final word, hitting back: “That’s what I just said!”
The overwhelming majority of fans backed Ekin after the clash slamming the CBB star.
One user said: “Zeze always wants the last word…girl ily but pls just back down when you’re wrong.”
Another went onto add: “Wow Zeze coming across nasty and judgemental.”
As a third staunchly defended TV icon Ekin-Su, writing: “Ekin Su went through a lot in that love island villa especially with how the men in that season was.”
