I’m trolled for going to court in bandages to fight for my kids back – after having a ‘mummy makeover’ just DAYS before
A WOMAN who has been trolled for going to court days after having a mummy makeover has hit back at critics.
Victoria shared a video of herself getting ready for the court proceedings, sporting a compression vest and bandages on her chest and under her eyes.
She explained that she was trying to regain custody of her children after successfully battling a drug addiction.
“This is me about to rock up to a court hearing looking like this,” she said in the TikTok video.
“‘Hi judge, can I have my child? Promise I’m normal!’
“I really hope he doesn’t judge me. I mean he’s going to judge me, he’s a judge but judge me for the right reasons.
“Having a face lift doesn’t make me a terrible mother.”
As well as a lower face lift, Victoria had a tummy tuck, breast lift and neck lift – often referred to as a “mummy makeover”.
In a bid to somewhat conceal her bandages, she decided to wear a roll neck top, which she paired with a pair of blue suit trousers.
She then popped on a pair of sunglasses, which hid the bandages beneath her eyes.
Concluding her video, she hilariously held up a notebook which had “You look better than Beyoncé today” written on the front.
“The notebook is gaslighting me but I’m here for it, I’ll take it!” she laughed.
But people in the comments section quickly slammed Victoria for her decision to go forward with the surgery before her court date.
“Wondering if money would be better saved up for child in preparation for them returning home… rather then on hardcore cosmetic surgery.. just first impression,” one sarcastically wrote.
“I’m afraid to say I would have waited till after the court date to do this,” another added.
But someone else hit back: “Didn’t realise treating yourself to make you more comfortable in your own skin can have an impact on you in court.
“It’s her actions towards her kids they’re looking at not her face or body.”
“Exactly!” Victoria replied.
Speaking to Fabulous Online, she continued to explain: “I was due to have the surgery earlier but it was postponed by the surgeon due to a low blood count.
“Had it been at the original intended date, the plasters would not have been visible.
“I refused to let my pride get in the way of fighting for my children and still showed up at court despite having had the surgery on my body just 10 days prior.
“Nothing was going to stop me from fighting for my kids!”
Victoria also said that the judge saw “how far I’ve come since going into recovery and commended me and my ex-husband on our co parenting skills”.
“She had no concern with how I chose to improve my body,” she added.
“I lost a lot of weight after going into recovery and wanted to tighten up my loose skin – I don’t see how this reflects on my parenting!”
Following the court date, Victoria told us: “Contact with my children has now been finalised and there are no safeguarding concerns.
“Everything had already been agreed, this final hearing was just to sign off the final order and I knew having plasters on my face would not affect anything.”
“People are so naive when it comes to family court,” she sighed.
Victoria concluded by saying that the cost of the surgery wasn’t an issue, as she got it for free thanks to a collaboration with the clinic.
