3/25/2024: Cool, cloudy, breezy
The latest Storm Tracker Forecast from meteorologist Matt Mackie:
Cool and unsettled looking today as an area of low pressure passes to our north.
Expect cloudy and mostly dry conditions through the day. There will be on and off flurries in the Adirondacks, with perhaps one or two light rain showers pushing down into the Capital District in the afternoon.
Tonight looks quiet and cool, with lows around freezing from Albany to the south along the Hudson River, and in the 20's elsewhere.
Expect more widespread precipitation tomorrow, with on and off flurries in the mountains and mainly light rain showers in the valleys. Not a washout, but having an umbrella on hand for those periods of rain could certainly help out. Highs will peak in the mid 40's.
Thursday and Friday look brighter, with highs near 50. It's still a brisk feel bit a light to moderate breeze sticking around, but at least it will be dry.
The same cannot be said for the weekend - expect some rain and snow showers on Saturday. Sunday will feature mainly rain, but with wintry mix possible in the mountains. Monday is warmer, but still showery.
