Fitness coach's morning routine goes viral
(KTLA) -- A man's morning routine has taken the internet by storm.
The nearly 90-second video was posted on X on March 19 by the account Tips for Men X, but it originated from online fitness coach Ashton Hall and his over 8 million followers on Feb. 7.
"Sin lives late at night.. if you’re dealing with a weak mind, bad decisions, or lack of productivity go to sleep early," he wrote in the caption. "4:00am - 8:00am no one’s calling or distracting your productivity.. they are sleep. 8:00pm - 12:00am is the opposite. Just try 30 days.. send this to your partners. It’s time to do better."
Hall's day begins at 3:52 a.m. when he wakes up wearing mouth and nasal tape. The mouth tape is removed, and he begins brushing his teeth in a well-organized bathroom.
This is when things start to get interesting.
He rinses with Saratoga sparkling water, which is now the latest TikTok craze, according to MarketWatch.
At 4:00 a.m., he's on the balcony of his highrise with his sparkling water in hand, and he quickly does a set of pushups. From 4:38 a.m. to 5:30 a.m., he's at his desk to journal, meditate, watch an inspirational video on his phone, and read.
At 5:46 a.m., he fills up a clear bowl with ice, pours in some sparkling water, and dunks his face. It's unclear if he's toting around the same bottle or if it's a new one.
Then, at 6:01 a.m., he dresses to go to the gym and begins his workout at 6:38 a.m., which is at the gym inside his apartment or condo. At 7:31 a.m., he jumps into his complex's pool. However, as he jumps in, the timing shows he actually landed in the pool at 7:35 a.m., which questions whether he was airborne for a good four minutes.
After a swim and a dip in the hot tub, he heads back upstairs to shower. His post-shower snack is a banana, and instead of throwing away the peel, he quickly wipes his face with it. He rinses his face, this time in the sink sans sparkling water.
At 9:09 a.m., Hall is dressed and parks himself in front of his computer. He's delivered another bowl of ice water to dunk his face in before starting his meeting.
While in the meeting, an unidentified woman cooks him a breakfast of scrambled egg, turkey bacon, and avocado toast. He drizzles some hot honey over it and washes it down with more Saratoga sparkling water.
The video ends there, showing the routine took over five hours.
The video may end there, but the commentary over this has been nonstop, with many creating their own parodies.
One X account poked fun at Hall allegedly being in the air for four minutes as he jumped into the pool, and someone else noticed that he wore his nice watch in the shower. Others pointed out the time discrepancies.
"When I see vids like this, I think bout how many times it took to start/stop and set up the camera," wrote another user.
"This is not life," another weighed in.
Another person didn't hold back, saying the mouth tape was "the funniest way to start this video."
"Imagine waking up at 3:45am but literally getting nothing done by 9am apart from exercise and eating," an X user wrote.
However, the 29-year-old did get some support amid the trolling.
"This trend of laughing at people who are doing better with their lives is what is really cringy! This dude got 7 million followers on instagram alone doing what he loves and making millions off it," wrote a supporter.
Regardless, the video got people talking about Hall and others learning about him for the first time. The former running back for Alcorn State University in Mississippi had aspirations of landing in the NFL, but that didn't happen.
After working various jobs, he made the shift to online fitness coach by posting to social media, and from there he built his fitness empire.
