WHL roundup: Ziemmer scores in OT as Cougars clip Royals 4-3
PRINCE GEORGE, B.C. - Koehn Ziemmer scored at 2:14 of overtime to give the Prince George Cougars a 4-3 win over the Victoria Royals in Western Hockey League action on Saturday at the CN Centre.
Evan Groening, Aiden Foster and Aleksey Chichkin also scored for the Cougars, who outshot the visitors 37-24.
Nolan Stewart, Brandon Lisowsky and Keaton Verhoeff scored for the Royals, who got a 33-save performance from netminder Jayden Kraus.
The Cougars went 0-for-2 on the power play, while the Royals went 2-for-4.
The Cougars (41-21-4-2) moved to within three points of the B.C. Division-leading Royals (40-17-4-7).

SILVERTIPS 3 WILD 2 (OT)
WENATCHEE, Wash. — Jesse Heslop's second goal of the game, scored at 2:53 of overtime, lifted the visiting Everett Silvertips to a 3-2 win over the Wenatchee Wild.
Owen Cooper also scored for the U.S. Division-leading Silvertips (48-12-4-4), who were outshot 40-37.
Miles Cooper and Luka Shcherbyna scored for the Wild (23-36-8-1).
