The Nation's Weather for Sunday, March 23, 2025
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
While cooler conditions are in store for much of the
Northeast today, the Southeast will be warm and pleasant
with areas of sun and clouds. Elsewhere, a storm is forecast
to bring rain and snow to the Midwest, leading to slow and
slippery travel conditions, especially from northern
Minnesota to Michigan. Showers and thunderstorms will then
erupt across portions of the Mississippi Valley and Gulf
coast. Storms will be capable of producing damaging wind
gusts of 60-70 mph, hail and even a few tornadoes. Low
humidity and a gusty breeze will remain over the Plains with
a mix of sun and clouds. In the Pacific Northwest, dampening
rain and mountain snow are forecast to move in across
portions of the region, whereas in the Southwest, it will
remain dry and warm with partly to mostly sunny skies.
