Chelsea hero who scored iconic goal vs Barcelona looks totally unrecognisable as club legends reunite
A CHELSEA hero has stunned fans after looking completely unrecognisable.
The former Blues midfielder will be lining up for his old club during a legends match against Liverpool at Anfield later today.
They played 251 times for Chelsea between 2010 and 2016, scoring 34 goals and adding 17 assists.
He joined the club from Benfica for a reported fee of around £17million and was handed the number seven shirt.
One of his most iconic moments in Chelsea colours was his first half injury-time chip against Barcelona in the 2012 Champions League semi-final second leg at the Camp Nou.
The star raced through on goal to score a sublime chip over Victor Valdes which saw Chelsea equalise on aggregate.
Fernando Torres then scored an injury time goal to level the tie on the night and hand Chelsea a 3-2 aggregate lead before they got to the final, where they beat Bayern Munich.
A yellow card for the Brazilian in that game meant he missed the final, though his contribution to the team getting there has not been forgotten.
During his time at Stamford Bridge the now 37-year-old was known as a dynamic and tireless midfielder.
But having retired from the beautiful game at Palmeiras in 2020, fans could not believe what he now looks like as he donned the blue colours again for a training session at Cobham.

Chelsea shared a picture of the cult hero to social media, but fans needed some time to figure out who it was as he swapped his slender frame and low-cut hair for a stockier build and grown out hair.
The star in question though was…. Ramires.
Reacting in the comments, one fan said: “I’m being serious.. who’s this?”
A second said: “Who??”
A third added: “Legend! Unrecognisable though.”
Another said: “Ramires really changed.”
Ramires is being joined in the game by other stars including John Obi Mikel, Claude Makelele, William Gallas, Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink and Roberto Di Matteo, who is returning to the dugout as boss.
Before kick-off, Ramires shared a picture alongside his team-mates, saying: “Today I had the pleasure of training again at Cobham and reuniting with great friends I made while defending Chelsea.
“Tomorrow is game day for Chelsea Legends! Come on, Blues!”
The match is being played in the name of charity for the Chelsea Foundation and Chelsea Players’ Trust.
