Albany Medical College seniors learn residency matches
ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Friday was a pivotal day for medical students across the country. It's Match Day -- when students discover their residency placements.
One hundred twenty-three students at Albany Medical College joined their peers nationwide to learn where they will be spending the next several years of their medical training. Residency programs provide an additional three to seven years of training.
According to Albany Med, 41 students will be staying in New York State, and 14 will be staying at Albany Med.
The students will graduate in May and start their residences in July.
