Saratoga senior living home to offer paid CNA training
SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. (NEWS10)-- The Wesley Community has announced its next round of paid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) training, which begins in late April. After completion, the training program opens the door to employment with the senior living center.
CNAs assist nurses with challenging patient care tasks. Some daily responsibilities for CNAs include direct care like bathing, feeding, and grooming, all while maintaining patients' comfort and safety.
Training sessions begin on April 28, and interested candidates who are 18 or older can apply for the training online through The Wesley Community website. Full attendance is required, and anyone who completes the training will be offered a full- or part-time evening or night shift position.
The program runs for five weeks, and applicants must have a high school diploma or GED to apply. Wesley Community CEO J. Brian Nealon said CNAs are essential to residents' quality of life care.
"Our mission at Wesley is guided by our core values of compassion, accountability, respect, excellence and spirit, and we’re excited to offer a paid training program that will reward CNA candidates who share similar principles,” Nealon said.
