Person injured in shooting, teen accused of attempted murder
PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A teen was arrested and accused of attempted murder after allegedly shooting and injuring a man in Woodburn, authorities said.
Just after 5 p.m. on Thursday, Woodburn Police responded to reports of a shooting in the 1100 block of North 2nd Street. While they didn't find a suspect, they did find someone who had been shot. The person had non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to the hospital.
According to the Woodburn Police Department, investigators in Salem located a suspect, 18-year-old Eduardo Rodriguez Castillo. Marion County Sheriff's deputies arrested Rodriguez Castillo near Whitman Circle Northeast in Salem, officials said.
Rodriguez Castillo faces charges that include attempted murder, first-degree assault, reckless endangering another and unlawful use of a weapon.
