Steph Curry leaves game after awkward fall
Fingers and toes crossed.
The Golden State Warriors had their worst nightmare occur on Thursday night: a potential injury to superstar Steph Curry. In the third quarter of their home contest against the Toronto Raptors, Curry drove into the lane, attempted a shot, and collided with a Raptors defender. Curry got knocked 90 degrees in air, losing his legs from under him. The result was a fall directly onto his back and tailbone.
A loud noise from the fall reverberated through the arena and the TV, and Curry writhed in pain. Play continued, as the refs somehow didn’t call a foul, and the Warriors called a timeout as soon as they got the ball back, with Curry still laying on the court under the team’s basket. He was in visible agony, though he was able to get up and walk off the court under his own strength. He walked very gingerly though, accompanied by trainer Rick Celebrini, and went straight to the locker room.
Concern for the Warriors: Steph Curry just went to the locker room grabbing at his tailbone after a hard fall. Here he is discussing it with Drew Yoder and Rick Celebrini and then walking to locker room gingerly with Celebrini. pic.twitter.com/QsXRKhiMw4

Shortly into the fourth quarter, the Warriors released an update, ruling Curry out for the remainder of the game with a pelvic contusion.
Stephen Curry (Pelvic contusion) will not return to tonight’s game.

Hopefully further looks don’t reveal a more serious injury. Fingers crossed.
