The Nation's Weather for Friday, March 21, 2025
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
Cooler conditions are expected across the Southeast today
with temperatures near or below the historical average and a
frosty start in some places. Sunshine will erase the
morning chill. It will also be dry with a mix of sun and
clouds across the Southwest and much of the Plains, but
spotty showers are forecast to race across South Dakota and
Iowa. Showers will expand into the Ohio Valley, along with
some snow over the Great Lakes region, during the night.
Gusty winds in parts of the Plains will raise the wildfire
risk. Rain is forecast to soak the Pacific Northwest coast
before spreading to the lower elevations over the interior.
In the higher elevations, rain will transition to
accumulating snow. In the Northeast, a storm with rain and
mountain snow will exit New England.
