Watch the awkward moment mortified This Morning star announces Strictly’s AJ Pritchard ‘secret’ engagement
THIS Morning star Lisa Snowdon was left red-faced when she was called out for announcing AJ Pritchard’s so-called secret engagement.
Host Lisa, 53, was interviewing the former Strictly star on stage at the Smiley Charity Film Awards when she accidentally forced him into confirming the news.
Earlier this month, AJ’s girlfriend was spotted wearing an engagement ring at a 30th birthday with friends.
However, the couple have not confirmed the news to fans.
On Thursday night while presenting an event dedicated to celebrating the power of storytelling, AJ arrived on stage to present an award.
Lisa said: “A little birdie told me.. have you just got engaged?”
AJ awkwardly laughed: “Officially, no, but fiancée is in the room with a lovely ring on.
“So we weren’t officially out there, but now we are.
“And I will now post the video of me and my lovely fiancée getting engaged in Hyde Park.
“It’s very romantic, it’s very cute.
“It’s out there now, Zara,” he said, defeated.
MORTIFIED THIS MORNING STAR
Lisa then looked mortified as she said: “Oops. Well, congratulations.
“That’s not awkward at all,” she added.
AJ responded: “Thank you so much.
“We are here for very important stuff but life is what gets you.”
Lisa then said: “You shouldn’t feel bad. You’ve got to celebrate everything.”
“I’ve gone warm now,” AJ said, to which Lisa added: “He’s gone warm now, me too.”
SECRET ENGAGEMENT SLIP-UPS
Recently, a friend posted a photo to wish Zara a happy birthday and captioned it: “Miss Engaged,” with a string of pink heart emojis – hinting that she had gotten engaged to AJ.
In the snap, Zara showed off a huge diamond cut engagement ring on her left ring finger.
Zara wore a white mini skirt, a red string top and white knee high boots as she partied the night away.
Earlier this month, AJ hinted he proposed to his girlfriend who recently turned 30.
The pair began dating in 2022.
Tonight was the 8th annual Smiley Charity Film Awards, dubbed the ‘Oscars of the charity world,’ at the Indigo O2, celebrating the power of film to inspire change.
