Stormont Vail Health holding event for expecting mothers
TOPEKA (KSNT) - Stormont Vail Health will be holding a free event for expecting moms to ask questions and learn more about their parenthood journey.
From 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on April 6, Stormont Vail Health will be holding its Welcome Baby Jubilee in the Pozez Education Center on the first floor of the hospital at 1500 SW 10th Ave. Guests should use the parking garage on the west of the hospital and enter through the main north entrance.
"Spring is a time of new beginnings, and Stormont Vail is here to help you bloom into your new journey of parenthood at the Welcome Baby Jubilee!" the hospital wrote in a press release.
Participants will be able to learn about the community resources, learn about the hospital's team, and enter prize drawings for diapers, clothes and other essentials. Family who spend time with the baby will also be able to get their Tdap vaccine to prevent whooping cough and other diseases.
"We encourage those who wish to receive a shot to bring their insurance card to receive this vaccine," The hospital wrote in the press release.
