Insiders Say Kim Kardashian & Kanye West Could Have a New Fight Brewing — & It Has Everything To Do With Their Kids
Kim Kardashian and Kanye West may have finalized their divorce in late 2022, but the estranged couple reportedly still has a lot to work out. And after West’s latest social media rampage — first bringing Izzy Azalea’s son Onyx into his argument with Onyx’s dad, Playboy Carti (“I say this with kindness & as a mother: Please, leave my child out of this,” Azalea tweeted) and then issuing another tweet viciously targeting Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s twins, Rumi and Sir — and his recent questionable parenting moves, it seems the two could have to revisit the courts.
Multiple sources told Us Weekly that the SKIMS founder is “considering” filing for full custody of their kids, North, 11, Saint, 8, Chicago, 7, and Psalm, 5. Currently, the two share joint physical and legal custody, and West pays his ex-wife $200 thousand per month in child support plus half of their kids’ educational and security costs, per Cosmo.
But now, one insider is saying Kardashian is “worried” that the rapper’s behavior could “create problems” for their kids. Just this week, he posted yet another antisemitic rant and released a song with Sean “Diddy” Combs that included vocals from North West. After dropping the collaboration with the disgraced music mogul who is awaiting trial for alleged sex trafficking and more, West shared screenshots of alleged texts with Kardashian, where she seemingly tried to stop the release of the song.
In their exchange, Kardashian talked about how she had the trademark to North’s name.
“I sent paperwork over so she wouldn’t be in the Diddy song,” Kardashian said in the since-deleted screenshot, per Daily Mail. “To protect her. … We agreed when they were born I would get all of our kids’ names and trademarks so no one else would take them.”
West told his ex-wife to “amend” that agreement or he would go to “war.”
“And neither of us will recover from the public fallout,” he continued ominously. “You’re going to have to kill me.”
Later that day, the rapper — who was diagnosed with bipolar disorder in 2016 and then blamed his behavior on a supposed diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder — criticized his co-parenting relationship in another series of since-deleted posts on X (formerly Twitter). Per UsWeekly, the dad of four said in all capital letters, ” I don’t want to just ‘see’ my kids. I need to raise them. I need to have a say so of wear (sic) they go to school and who their friends are and whos (sic) houses they sleep over weather (sic) my daughters wear lipstick and perfume.”
He alleged that his rights have been taken in a racially-motivated move by “the Kardashian mob Hulu and Disney and the bigger agenda.”
He said his “visitation” is like being in “prison.”
Similarly to not wanting her daughter associated with Diddy, Kardashian also reportedly cut one of those prison-like visits short, per Page Six, after learning that Andrew Tate and Tristan Tate were there. The brothers face human trafficking and sexual assault charges.
So yes, things seem to be getting even messier between Kardashian and West, and perhaps the mom will be the one to “go to war” in an alleged new custody battle.
In a July 2023 episode of The Kardashians, the SKKN BY KIM founder revealed that she was struggling with how to come to terms with the fact that the man she once loved — and the man she currently co-parents with — is no longer the same.
“The whole situation is sad and I don’t know how to handle it,” she said. “I’m conflicted because I don’t ever want to jump in and be a part of a downfall for the father of my kids.”
“ … I am just in protection mode of my kids and just try to hide everything,” she continued. ” … I’m embarrassed that people are going to say something at a game or a function. … I just don’t know what to do. So I’ve been managing it the best way that I know how because I want my kids to see a healthy dad. It’s just a lot.”
And by the [since-deleted] looks of it, things are — unfortunately for the whole family — escalating quickly.
