Heung-min Son makes admission about his fitness levels at Tottenham right now
Heung-min Son has revealed whether he is 100 per cent fit after being asked about being left out of the starting eleven by Ange Postecoglou for Tottenham’s recent Premier League fixtures.
Tottenham Hotspur have had to deal with a number of issues throughout the season and one of them has undoubtedly been the form of Heung-min Son.
While the South Korean still has decent numbers in front of goal, he has not consistently provided the kind of threat that Spurs fans have come to expect of him over the years.
The supporters will be hoping that Son steps up in the final run-in as the club go in search of an elusive trophy, and they will be pleased to hear what the forward has said about his own fitness.
Heung-min Son says he is the fittest he’s ever been
Son has not started any of Tottenham’s last three league games, with Ange Postecoglou preferring to keep him fresh for the Europa League ties against AZ Alkmaar.

However, ahead of South Korea’s World Cup qualifiers against Oman and Jordan, the Spurs man made it clear that he is in top shape.
When asked about his fitness after being left out of the starting lineup for Tottenham over recent weeks, Son told Sports Navar: “As I’ve repeatedly said, I’m in excellent physical condition. I believe I’m in the best shape I’ve ever been.
“Since we’ve had so many matches, I think my club manager made those decisions to create better situations. Personally, I feel great, and there are no issues at all. I just want to emphasize that I’m maintaining a very good condition.”
Ange Postecolgou is managing Son’s workload at Tottenham
A group of around 12 to 15 players were subject to an extremely high workload from November to February during Tottenham’s injury crisis, with Son being one of those.
We have already seen many of those players, including Dominic Solanke, Radu Dragusin and Dejan Kulusevski pick up injuries, and the coaching staff would not want to lose Son at an important point in the season.
Their focus will be on ensuring that the 32-year-old remains fit and sharp for the crunch Europa League games coming up.
