Child killed in Schenectady hit-and-run
SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A boy has died after a hit-and-run in the city of Schenectady on Wednesday. The crash took place around 7:40 p.m. in the area of Chrisler Avenue and Crane Street.
Police were called to the scene for a report of a child being struck by a car. An 8-year-old boy was found unresponsive. He was taken to Ellis Hospital where he later died.
The driver of the vehicle left the scene before police arrived. The car was found in the Woodlawn area of Schenectady, and police are speaking with a person of interest.
