Sticky Vicky’s daughter quits performing X-rated shows in Benidorm
When you think of Benidorm, one of the first things that pops into mind is the iconic Sticky Vicky.
After she died at the age of 80 in 2023, her daughter, Victoria María Aragüés Gadea, decided to take up the famous role.
But sadly Sticky Vicky is no more after María decided to quit doing the explicit show.
Fans of Sticky Vicky fear not because a similar show, Carmen Snake – Sticky Show, is still being show.
María had been performing across famous spots in Benidorm for the last decade.
But she decided to give up the role of Sticky Vicky in November 2024, with no reason given.
Des Bellamy-Wright, who works at the Benidorm Palladium, said that María no longer works in the Spanish city which is popular with Brits.
He said: ‘Sticky Vicky doesn’t work in Benidorm anymore.
‘We have a similar fun show ‘Carmen Snake – Sticky Show’ which is on every night at 12.45 am.’
Paul, 51, from Ripon, West Yorkshire, is a regular in Benidorm and says he was left devastated by the news.
He said: ‘It’s a sad loss for Benidorm.
‘The Sticky Vicky show has been around for years.
‘I’ve heard that she got fed up on some nights only having a few people come and see the show.
‘Other performers who do the same shows such as Carmen Snake have now taken her place.’
Unsurprisingly, other Brits have been left devastated by the news.
Danny said: ‘Truly the end of an era,’ while Tristan Allaway said: ‘Games gone.’
Lukas added: ‘The World ain’t what it used to be.’
The original Sticky Vicky died in 2023 and spent decades in the Spanish city wowing tourists with her X-rated shows.
She initially trained as a ballet dancer, before she moved to Benidorm in the 1980s and created her unique nude magic show.
These shows involved pulling a variety of items from her private parts, including ping pong balls and razor blades.
She often performed for British tourists at the Costa Blanca resort, cementing herself as a local legend after performing six shows a night, six times a week in her heyday.
Vicky finally retired in 2015, after a 30-year career as a performer.
