MAFS Australia in ‘fakery row’ as bride’s house during homestays ‘isn’t really her home’
MAFS Australia has found itself in a fakery row as it’s revealed that the bride’s home during homestays isn’t actually hers.
Viewers of the Australian version of the hit dating show have watched as Jacqui and Ryan married, and bickered, on the series so far.
The pair have struggled to see eye-to-eye ever since the wedding day, with Jacqui insinuating her long list of academic and personal achievements put her far above Ryan.
And some fans have gone as far as to say that the couple are ‘actors’ or ‘producer plants’ as a result of their actions.
Now, Jacqui has found herself embroiled in a fakery row during Homestays Week, which has already aired over in Australia.
It turns out that the luxurious property she welcomes her husband Ryan into for the first time, isn’t actually hers.
It is in fact an Airbnb, and Daily Mail Australia reveals she rented the Manly property to film in.
The voiceover calls the stunning pad “Jacqui’s home,” but this was not in fact the case, and it was actually a $200-a-night Airbnb rental.
The publication also revealed why Jacqui decides not to take Ryan to her actual home.
A source told them: “She had roommates living at her house and it was in a messy state, and she didn’t feel comfortable with it.
“Ryan and Jacqui were instructed not to make any mention that it was a fake house and just to pretend that it was actually Jacqui’s.”
They added that it was deemed: “too small” for filming.
“Her real bedroom was tiny, and the camera crew couldn’t fit in her apartment. Her roommates’ stuff was everywhere and they would’ve had to be asked to leave for filming,” they continued.
The couple’s relationship continues to be embroiled in drama.
During last night’s first commitment ceremony, Ryan told the experts “it’s a very mixed bag at the moment, we’re been very curious how yourself and the team pretty much ignored what we said”.
Jacqui admitted that she doesn’t feel that Ryan “listens” to her, she said: “The first night in the apartment, we stayed in the same room, it was quite cold.
“I asked if we could turn the temperature up and he prefers the temperature down.
“And I was, like, kind of disappointed and I was like fine ‘I’ll just wear a jumper to bed’.”
Jacqui then listed off a number of other issues that, which prompted her to laugh, leaving the experts confused by her reaction.
Ryan then told the group: “We have bonded in a lot of other ways, we’re both business-savy.
“We both love cryptocurrency, we love talking about modern affairs, we’re both super intelligent people, there’s definitely a lot of conversation, a lot of back and forth.”
The experts were left baffled by their contradictory statements.
Expert John Aiken told the couple: “Understand, you two are not easy to match let me tell you.”
