Why NBC's Schedule Move for 'Grosse Pointe Garden Society' Doesn't Bode Well for the New TV Show
NBC is making a schedule change for the new TV series Grosse Pointe Garden Society and the move doesn’t bode well for the future of the show.
The mystery drama series premiered in February 2025 in the 10pm slot on Sunday nights, but it sadly hasn’t captured a major audience in that time slot, despite solid reviews from critics.
Beginning Friday, April 4, the show will start airing in the 8pm time slot on Friday nights. The Sunday night 10pm slot will be taken over by Dateline NBC.

As Variety points out, “a move to Fridays midway through a freshman season typically indicates a show is destined for cancellation.”
Gross Point Garden Society follows “four members of a suburban garden club who find their lives intertwined by scandal, mischief and a shared secret – a murder no one wants to talk about. As dark truths begin to rot their lives under the surface, they struggle to remain as perfect as the flowers blooming in their garden above.”
The series stars AnnaSophia Robb, Aja Naomi King, Ben Rappaport, and Melissa Fumero.
