MELVIN Odoom faced an awkward introduction to his new Good Morning Britain stand-in role – and was promptly grilled about his I’m A Celeb co-stars Danny Jones and Maura Higgins’ drunken kiss at The BRITs.
The DJ told ITV hosts Susanna Reid, 54, and Richard Madeley, 68, “you two go in hard” as they got stuck into the probing questions during the entertainment segment on Monday.
Melvin, 44, bagged a temporary role on-screen replacing Good Morning Britain‘s regular entertainment reporter Richard Arnold, 55, on the ITV daytime show.
Yet before he could start running through the showbiz news of the day, Susanna flagged The Sun’s exclusive story revealing McFly star Danny’s wife Georgia Horsley has moved out – leaving their “marriage in crisis.”
Mum of one Georgia, 38, has moved in with a pal in London despite the Star Girl vocalist, 39, apologising.
As Susanna began questioning their I’m A Celeb campmate Melvin on the scandal, he said: “First of all, you guys don’t hold back.
“Straight in with the hard stories,” as Susanna replied: “You know what, it’s on the front of The Sun this morning.
“And has been developing for a few days … you were in the jungle with Danny, and Maura.”
The BBC star said: “Well, look.
“The thing is we have all got a WhatsApp group and we all got on in the jungle.
“The other day it was Danny’s birthday and we all wished him happy birthday, in regards to this story, it’s not my business.
“That’s it. That’s all I am saying on that.”
After Richard praised him for his “civilised response” he added: “Thank you very much.
“I got on with everybody, they’re lovely guys and I wish them all the best.”
He was a campmate in the 2024 reality show which ultimately saw Danny crowned King Of The Jungle.
One viewer then took to X to write: “I love how Melvin doesn’t want to discuss Danny and Maura’s new relationship as it’s petty but then proceeds to talk about Tommy Fury and Molly Mae reuniting lmao!”

MOVING OUT
On Sunday, The Sun was first to report how Georgia has left the family home.
A source said: “They’re not together and she is working out what she wants to do.”
Georgia moved out of the marital home and went to the pub with pals after telling the McFly star: “I need to get away.”
The former Miss England winner packed her bags last week and is crashing at her best friend Rose Mahon’s flat.
Hurt Georgia wanted space after The Sun told how Danny kissed his I’m A Celeb co-star Maura Higgins at a Brit Awards after-party.
The couple, who have been married for ten years, had put on a united front and were photographed together looking tense.
But a source said last night: “Danny and Georgia may still be married but they’re not together and she is working out what she wants to do.
“She has been hugely hurt and embarrassed by everything and told Danny she needed to get away.
“She has been staying with her friend Rose since Wednesday.
“Georgia is no pushover and Danny knows as much. They are still talking about how they can move forwards.
“No one has a crystal ball and knows what will happen. Their marriage has never been in a crisis like this before and there is still a lot to work out. Georgia is still married to Danny and wearing her wedding rings but they’re not together at the moment and are having time apart.”
The couple first met at a 2008 event for Miss England, which Georgia had won a year earlier.
They began dating in 2010, got engaged in 2013 and wed in Georgia’s hometown of Malton, North Yorks, in 2014.
It came after we revealed how Danny is being comforted by his McFly bandmate Dougie Poynter.
He also finally broke his silence to say sorry after he and Maura were filmed looking close.
BREAKING SILENCE
Star Girl vocalist Danny made an emotional statement on Instagram, and showed his regret for putting his loved ones “in this situation.”
The dad-of-one, who shares son Cooper with Georgia, 38, wrote: “Hello everyone.
“Sorry it’s taken me a while to post this but I’ve taken some time out to be with those closest to me.
“I want to deeply apologise to my wife and family for putting them in this situation.
“I love them so much and we’ll continue to deal with this privately.”
Danny continued: “I love you guys, thank you for your patience, understanding and support.
“See you all soon, Danny.”
