Gansevoort man accused of child sex abuse
SARATOGA COUNTY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — A Gansevoort man has been arrested for the alleged sexual abuse of a minor, the Saratoga County Sheriff's Office announced on Sunday. Stephen Bottino, 58, has been charged with a felony.
On Tuesday, the Sheriff's Office reportedly received a sexual assault complaint. The alleged assault took place in the town of Clifton Park in 2003, police said.
The following investigation led to the arrest of Bottino, who is accused of subjecting a person under the age of 11 years old to sexual contact, authorities said. He has been charged with first-degree sexual abuse, according to the Sheriff's Office.
Bottino was reportedly arraigned in the Clifton Park Town Court. He was released on his own recognizance pending further proceedings, police said.
