Tottenham fans react as Kyle Walker shows he is still Spurs through and through
A lot of Tottenham fans are extremely gutted to see Dele Alli being sent off in his first game back after more than two years, but many loved the gesture from his former Spurs teammate, Kyle Walker, just before the midfielder’s red card
Dele Alli made his long-awaited return to the pitch on Saturday, coming on as an 81st-minute substitute in his debut for Como at the San Siro.
However, the night ended disastrously for the attacking midfielder, who was sent off for a poor challenge on Milan midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek.
Interestingly, Kyle Walker tried to intervene and pleaded with the referee to not show Dele a red despite the fact that he was playing for the opposition.

The right-back clearly felt for his former Tottenham Hotspur teammate, but despite his pleas, the referee did not hesitate to give Dele his marching orders.
Many Spurs fans on social media loved Walker’s gesture, giving respect to the England international for trying his best to help his former Spurs teammate.
One Tottenham fan wrote: “Kyle Walker what a player and a person” while another commented: “Kyle Walker is a real one.”
Spurs fan Handy Holmes admitted that Dele was deserving of the red card, but also gave props to Walker, writing: “Gotta respect Walker there, but it wasn’t a great challenge.”
Meanwhile, another Tottenham supporter admitted that he has gained new respect for Walker, stating: “Facts, true sportsmanship that fr. Always respect him after this.”
Dele will overcome this minor setback
Walker’s reaction is further evidence that everyone sympathises with what Dele has gone through and is rooting for him to succeed.
Given the kind of challenges that the former Spurs midfielder has overcome over the past few years, this latest setback is a comparatively small one, and one we know that he has the strength to overcome.
